Yellowstone ~ Day 5

We started our day on the Continental Divide! Pretty cool! Then we went to Firehole Lake Drive.
Surprise PoolGreat Fountain Geyser wasn't going off at the time,
but sometimes it has over 200 feet super eruptions! White Dome Geyser
Next we hiked up a really steep hill...
to get an amazing view of the Grand Prismatic Spring!
If I had to pick a favorite moment of the trip, this would be it!
I've never seen anything quite like it! It was incredible!
Jeff wore his bear shirt this day in hopes of spotting a bear! Our next adventure was hiking to Fairy Falls. My Dad was an awesome tour guide!
He did a great job planning our activities each day.
He also carried the bear spray...just in case!Nate and NoelleTyler and Heidi are to the right to show some perspective.Taking a much needed break near the waterfall.
We continued on our hike through a
swarm of bees and found some mud pots. There were some Parker sized towels at our cabin
and I couldn't resist taking a picture of our little man!

Yellowstone ~ Day 4

We stayed in the newly remodeled Lake Lodge Cabins.
Thanks Mom and Dad! We were going to hike to the bottom of Tower Falls,
but the trail was closed. We drove through the Lamar Valley to look for wildlife.
We saw some pronghorns and a fox.
And some bison of course!
Next we checked out the Yellowstone River Canyon.
Parker was so tired by the end of each adventurous day!

Yellowstone ~ Day 3

Parker chose to sit on the boardwalk to watch Old Faithful. Old Faithful Geyser
Parker did a great job in the hiking backpack throughout the week.
Jeff did an awesome job carrying around the extra 28 pounds!
Here we are on the Upper Geyser Basin.
Old Faithful Inn is in the background.
My parents took us out for a nice dinner at Old Faithful Inn!
Then we hiked up to Solitary Geyser.
Parker pointed out the moon this day, so I took a picture for him!
Cool dude!
Ear Spring
A view from the boardwalk.
This was a very active vacation--lots of walking and hiking!

Some of us saw a wolf in this meadow on the way back.
Lone Star Geyser
It started going off right before we got there!
We had pretty good luck!Happy Father's Day!
I think my Dad enjoyed spending his day in Yellowstone with us!"Cheese!"This was my favorite geyser and well worth the hike!We got used to seeing wildlife all around us!
